Featured Hike Play the video at right to view some of the trail scenes from Barnes Point in Olympic National Park 20 mi west of Port Angeles on US 101. Shaped by time and water, Barnes Point is a delta with meadows and old-growth forest on the south shore of glacially carved Lake Crescent. For thousands of years American Indians lived and traded here. Later, settlers homesteaded the area and entrepreneurs developed hotels and lodges. Now, this area is part of Olympic National Park.
